ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY

The Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS) is committed to protecting the personal privacy of individuals who visit the CNPS web sites, cnps.ca and spiic.ca. CNPS does not use techniques to collect personal information about you without your knowledge and consent. What information does cnps.ca and spiic.ca collect and why?

The CNPS web server collects the following non-identifiable information:

	the name of your Internet service provider, its IP address and the name of your service provider's server
	the date and time of each visit, and the pages you visit on cnps.ca and spiic.ca
	the amount of time you spend on each page and the total time spent on the CNPS web site
	the user name which you use to access the Members Only section. Note: user names are not personally identifiable

CNPS collects non-identifiable information from you for internal statistical analysis, to determine the number of visitors to the CNPS web sites, the length of time spent, and which pages are viewed most often. CNPS may, at its discretion, share aggregated (not individual) non-identifiable information with the CNPS Board of Directors or outside organizations.

Does the CNPS web site collect personally identifiable information?

If you choose to use the service, the CNPS Online Order form asks for your name, address, phone number and email address. Your name and address are collected in order to have a shipping address. We ask for your phone number and email address so that we can contact you if we need clarification about an order. This information will not be divulged to anyone except the staff member filling your order, nor will it be correlated with the non-identifiable information we collect from you, nor used for any further purpose.
