Ontario Nurses: Registration Time is Here!

Have you met your professional liability protection (PLP) requirement? The mandate of the CNPS is to serve as a source of comprehensive PLP and legal support for its beneficiaries.

The CNPS provides comprehensive legal support to help nurses navigate the broad range of legal issues that can arise in their practice.

CNPS beneficiaries can also apply for optional Supplementary Protection, to be eligible for assistance in the event of a complaint to their nursing regulator. It includes up to $50,000 of coverage if the complaint results in a referral to a disciplinary hearing.

Registered Practical Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses, welcome! In response to growing demand, the CNPS bylaws were recently amended to make CNPS accessible to members of all nursing professions. For the first time, you can also apply to become CNPS beneficiaries, effective January 1, 2019.
